The Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival is a specialized Slovenian film festival dedicated to genre films, primarily horror and fantasy, launched in 2005 on the 100th anniversary of Slovenian cinematography in Ljutomer. The festival is named after Dr. Karol Grossmann, a pioneer of Slovenian cinema, and takes place annually in Ljutomer, and more recently, in Ormož. It features a competitive program, including awards like the "Vicious Cat" for best feature film, and is a member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF). Beyond film screenings, the festival also incorporates a wine program, offering tastings of local wines from the Prlekija region, alongside live concerts, exhibitions, and workshops. It has been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the "Coolest Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festivals in the World" and among the "Bloody Best Genre Fests in the World."
