The Greensboro 48 Hour Film Festival is a local iteration of the global 48 Hour Film Project, an annual filmmaking competition where teams are challenged to create a short film—from writing to editing—within a single 48-hour weekend. Participants of all ages and experience levels are welcome to join. The completed films are publicly screened, and various awards are presented. The "Best Film" winner from Greensboro advances to Filmapalooza, the international competition, with a chance to be screened at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes International Film Festival.
