The GREEN SCREEN Wildlife Film Festival, also known as the International Nature Film Festival GREEN SCREEN, is Europe's largest wildlife film festival, established in 2007 in Eckernförde, Germany. Each September, the festival showcases and awards the best nature films and documentaries of the year. Festival director Dirk Steffens curates a selection of these films which then embark on a Germany-wide tour. In 2020, the festival adapted to public event conditions by offering a hybrid program, including online screenings and events at selected venues, extending to six weeks and featuring about 70 nature documentaries and numerous short films.
