The Grand Prix is a prestigious award bestowed at the Cannes Film Festival, serving as the second-most esteemed prize after the Palme d'Or. Established in 1967, it has also been known by previous names such as the Grand Prix Spécial du Jury and the Grand Prix du Jury. The award recognizes one of the competing feature films selected by the festival's jury. In addition to the Cannes Grand Prix, the FIPRESCI Grand Prix is an award given by the International Federation of Film Critics to the best film of the year.
