Giornate degli Autori, also known as Venice Days, is an independent and parallel section of the Venice Film Festival, founded in 2004. Promoted by Italian film director and author associations (ANAC and 100autori), it aims to highlight high-quality cinema, with a particular focus on innovation, research, originality, and independent filmmaking. Operating as a "festival-within-a-festival," it provides an informal space for authors, producers, distributors, and journalists to meet and discuss ideas.
