The Gimli International Film Festival is a Canadian film festival held annually in Gimli, Manitoba. It is recognized as Manitoba's largest film festival and the largest rural film festival in Canada. The festival showcases a diverse range of films, including narrative, documentary, and experimental features and shorts. A distinctive feature of the festival is its free outdoor beach film screenings, where movies are projected onto an 11-meter-tall screen erected in Lake Winnipeg. The festival also includes industry workshops, an emerging filmmaker pitch competition, and a 48-hour filmmaking challenge.
