The Gilbert Baker Film Festival (GBFF) is an international LGBTQIA+ film festival that honors the legacy of Gilbert Baker, the creator of the original Rainbow Flag. The festival showcases 2SLGBTQIA+ narrative films, documentaries, animation, web series, and music videos. Conceived by Gilbert Baker and friends to celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride and educate the community, the first festival was held in Parsons, Kansas, after Baker's death in 2017. Since 2020, due to the pandemic, the festival has expanded to an online/virtual format, allowing a global audience to participate through streaming films, watch parties, and discussion groups. The GBFF aims to amplify authentic 2SLGBTQIA+ stories and connect a worldwide community.
