Create Frameline Laurels

Frameline, also known as the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, is a prominent annual event dedicated to queer cinema. Established in 1976, with the first festival held in 1977, it holds the distinction of being the oldest LGBTQ+ film festival in the world. Organized by Frameline, a nonprofit media arts organization, its mission is "to change the world through the power of queer cinema." With annual attendance typically ranging from 60,000 to 80,000, it is also recognized as the largest LGBTQ+ film exhibition event globally and the most well-attended LGBTQ+ arts event in the San Francisco Bay Area. The festival usually takes place over eleven days in late June, coinciding with San Francisco's annual Gay Pride Day.
