The Flatwater Film Festival is an annual event held in Seward, Nebraska, committed to celebrating established and emerging filmmakers from across the state. As a 501(c)3 organization, its mission is to provide a non-competitive platform that showcases Nebraskan cinematic work, fosters a supportive community, and inspires the next generation of filmmakers. The festival is typically held at the historic Rivoli Theatre and features screenings, Q&A sessions, educational seminars, networking opportunities, and a 48-Hour Film Challenge, without charging submission fees or awarding prizes. To be eligible, films must be created by a Nebraska-based filmmaker or filmed within the state.
