The Indonesian Film Festival (Festival Film Indonesia, FFI) is an annual awards ceremony that celebrates cinematic achievements within the Indonesian film industry. Organized by the Indonesian Film Board and the Ministry of Culture, it presents the prestigious Citra Awards to honor outstanding films and individuals. The event originated in 1955 as Pekan Apresiasi Film Nasional (National Film Appreciation Week) and was renamed Festival Film Indonesia in 1973, becoming an annual fixture in the Indonesian film calendar. The festival was temporarily suspended between 1993 and 2003 before its revival.
