The Festival International Gbaka Animation (FIGA) is an annual event held in Lomé, Togo, dedicated to promoting animation and digital arts in Africa. It encompasses various forms of animation, including animated films, video games, and virtual reality. The festival aims to foster the growth and professionalization of the African animation industry, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and support its expansion on the global market. Evolving from a local event established in 2019, the first international edition of FIGA took place in 2024, honoring Michel Ocelot and his film "Kirikou et la Sorcière". The festival features screenings, workshops, master classes, professional meetings, and an African Animation Market, alongside competitions for animated short films and series.
