Festiwal Polskich Filmów Fabularnych (Polish Film Festival) is one of the oldest and largest film events in Europe, dedicated to promoting Polish cinematography. Established in 1974, it was initially held in Gdańsk before moving to Gdynia in 1987, where it continues to take place annually. The festival showcases Polish feature films produced within the preceding year, with the prestigious "Złote Lwy" (Golden Lions) being its main award for best film. It also features competitions for short and micro-budget films, lifetime achievement awards ("Platynowe Lwy"), and various non-competition sections like "Gdynia Dzieciom" and "Polonica" for international co-productions.
