The Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata is an international film festival held annually in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Established in 1954, it is recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) as a "Category A" competitive festival, making it the only one of its kind in Latin America. The festival presents various awards, including the Golden Ástor for Best Film and Silver Ástor awards for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay.
