The Festival International du Film Transsaharien de Zagora (Zagora International Trans-Saharan Film Festival) is a cultural and cinematic event held in Zagora, Morocco. Established in 2004, the festival aims to promote Moroccan, Arab, and international cinematographic productions, particularly those related to the desert, and to foster exchanges between filmmakers. Organized by the Zagora Trans-Saharan Film Association, it seeks to support film culture and production in the Draa Valley region and highlight the natural, cultural, and historical environment of the Sahara Desert. The festival has featured international and local competitions for feature-length and documentary films, often with themes connected to the desert. The 19th edition, held in October 2025, honored Kazakhstan and emphasized intercultural dialogue and the celebration of the desert through cinema.
