The Festival de Cortos de Bogotá, also known as BOGOSHORTS, is an annual film festival held in Bogotá, Colombia, dedicated to showcasing short films from around the world. Established in 2003, it has grown to become an Oscar-qualifying event for the Academy Awards and a qualifying festival for the Goya Awards of the Spanish Academy. BOGOSHORTS features competitive sections for various genres including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, and music videos, alongside training activities, industry events like the BOGOSHORTS Film Market (BFM), and art exhibitions. The festival aims to promote short films, provide a platform for new filmmakers, and expand the audience for cinematic art.
