The Festival de Cinema Internacional da Baixada Maranhense is a film festival held in Pinheiro, Maranhão, Brazil, that aims to promote access to audiovisual culture, strengthen local productions, and connect the Baixada region with national and international cinema. The festival features competitive screenings of short films, medium-length films, and music videos, alongside parallel screenings of films from various countries including Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, and those from Africa and Maranhão. In addition to screenings, the program also includes workshops, online training, and community screenings in public schools to foster education and audience engagement. The second edition is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 21, 2025.
