The Festival de Cinema Carnaúba is a film festival dedicated to promoting and awarding short films by filmmakers from Brazil's Northeast region. Led by students from the Centro Acadêmico do Agreste (CAA), the festival aims to foster cultural and audiovisual production in the area. It accepts short films between 5 and 20 minutes in length, with categories including fiction, documentary, and animation, and recognizes achievements in areas such as direction, screenplay, acting, and cinematography. The festival's second edition, for instance, featured a virtual exhibition in October and an in-person award ceremony in Caruaru, Pernambuco.
