Festival Écrans Noirs is an African film festival founded in 1997 by filmmaker Bassek Ba Kobhio, held annually in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is recognized as Central Africa's largest cinema event and aims to bring cinema to the public, often relocating to different cities or regions within Cameroon. The festival features various official competitions, including categories for feature films, short films, documentaries, and films from Central Africa. Awards like the "Écran d'Or" (Golden Screen) are presented, with past editions also honoring significant figures in African cinema.
