The Edinburgh Pitch is an international documentary pitching forum, not a film festival, that runs alongside the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Organized by the Scottish Documentary Institute, it serves as Scotland's only public pitching forum for independent filmmakers and production companies seeking to raise finance for ambitious feature documentaries in late development, production, or post-production. Selected projects participate in a preparatory workshop before publicly pitching to an industry panel, which has included representatives from Sundance Film Festival, MUBI, and Screen Scotland. The event also awards cash prizes, such as an Audience Award and an Industry Award.
