The Ecozine Film Festival, also known as the International Socio-Environmental Film Festival of Zaragoza, was established in 2008 in collaboration with the Ecozine Cultural Association and the Zaragoza City Council. Its primary objective is to promote and screen audiovisual works focusing on socio-environmental issues from around the world, utilizing cinema as a tool for information, awareness, and change. While Zaragoza, Spain, serves as its main venue, the festival also extends its reach to other territories. Ecozine is a founding member of the Green Film Network, the largest global network of festivals dedicated to socio-environmental topics, and is also part of the Youth Cinema Network and La Mesta, a platform integrated into Pantalla, the Spanish federation of film festivals.
