Create E Fu Cinema Short Film Festival Laurels

The E Fu Cinema Short Film Festival is an annual short film competition organized by Compagnia Minimal APS under the patronage of the Municipality of Pomarance, Italy. The festival aims to celebrate and promote the legacy of Azeglio and Lamberto Pineschi, local inventors who pioneered synchronized sound in cinema with their 1923 Cine-Fono system. Held over two days in June at the Teatro dei Coraggiosi, the event features screenings, workshops, exhibitions, and a final awards ceremony. Categories include Best Short Film, Best Screenplay, Best Original Score, and special sections for silent films and filmmakers under 35. The festival's jury includes professionals from the film and academic sectors, and it awards cash prizes and plaques named in honor of the Pineschi brothers.
