The Durango Independent Film Festival is an annual event held in Durango, Colorado, dedicated to bringing together independent filmmakers and the community to experience and discuss diverse films. The festival showcases a variety of genres, including narrative features, documentaries, and short films, encompassing animated and live-action works, with categories such as Adventure, LGBTQ, Native Stories, Family, Nature, Comedy, and Music. Founded in 2005, it also features a "REEL Learning School Program" to introduce independent film to students.
