Create Diamond Screen Film Festival at Temple University Laurels

The Diamond Screen Film Festival is an annual event hosted by Temple University's Department of Film and Media Arts, showcasing the best work by up-and-coming filmmakers and media artists within its program. The festival highlights outstanding student films across documentary, narrative, and experimental categories, along with new media art projects. It draws its name from Temple University founder Russell Conwell's "Acres of Diamonds" speech, celebrating the creative talent fostered within the university. Winners are selected from over 150 entries by a panel of judges comprising Temple alumni and industry professionals. The festival also includes specific events such as the Diamond Screen Women's Film Festival.
