The Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) is a biennial film festival held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which was established in 1992. Initially an annual event, it became biennial starting in 1995. Recognized as one of Bangladesh's most prestigious film events, the festival aims to introduce global cinema to local filmmakers and foster a healthy cine culture within the country. Founded by Ahmed Muztaba Zamal of the Rainbow Film Society, its general theme is "Better Film, Better Audience, and Better Society." The festival features various sections, including Retrospective, Cinema of the World, Women Filmmakers, Children's Film, Short and Independent, and Spiritual Films. The 24th edition of the festival is scheduled to take place from January 10 to 18, 2026.
