The DC Caribbean FilmFest is an annual event hosted by the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in recognition of Caribbean Heritage Month in June. The festival, which has run for over two decades, showcases films from various Caribbean countries and is co-presented by organizations such as the Caribbean Association of World Bank Group and IMF Staff (CAWI), the Caribbean Professional Network (CPN), the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS), and Africa World Now Project. It aims to celebrate Caribbean culture and filmmaking, featuring a diverse lineup of documentaries, dramas, and comedies from the region and its diaspora.
