Founded in 2005, it has become one of the most important events for analog cinema in the Americas, specializing in the Super 8 format. The festival features competitive and parallel showcases, workshops, and various awards for Super 8 films. It emphasizes films originally shot on Super 8, with some categories accepting digitally finished works that originated from Super 8 footage. The festival is set to celebrate its 20th edition in 2025.
