Create Cordillera International Laurels

The Cordillera International Film Festival, based in Reno-Tahoe, Nevada, was an annual event that celebrated diverse voices in filmmaking. It was recognized for its state-of-the-art venues, industry networking opportunities, and commitment to supporting filmmakers by providing lodging, meals, and other amenities. The festival was twice named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World and consistently ranked among FilmFreeway’s Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals. However, the 2026 edition was canceled following allegations of financial impropriety and the resignation of several board members. The festival's future remains uncertain.
