The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is an annual international film festival held in Clermont-Ferrand, France, dedicated to short films. Established in 1979 as a "Short Film Week" and becoming competitive in 1982, it is recognized as the second-largest film festival in France after Cannes, measured by audience and professional attendance. The festival hosts national, international, and Lab competitions, alongside a significant Short Film Market, which was introduced in 1986 to bolster the economic standing of short films. It has been considered the biggest short film festival for four decades.
