The CINEOPEN Festival is an annual film festival organized by the Ciné-Club Jacques Becker in Pontarlier, Doubs, France. It aims to promote animated films in their diversity and richness, featuring an international animated short film competition as a significant component. The festival also highlights a guest country each year, presenting a varied and contemporary program, and incorporates a cross-cutting theme focused on a "female gaze in cinema." Attracting around 3,500 spectators annually, the event has evolved from earlier festivals in Pontarlier, adopting the CINEOPEN name from 2021, with the Festival of Animated Movies integrated into it that same year.
