Cinematahum is a film festival organized by the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Division of Humanities, dedicated to showcasing Western Visayan cinema and promoting regional languages such as Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, and Akeanon. Originally launched as CineMapadayon in 2022, the festival aims to cultivate a vibrant regional film community and amplify the voices of young regional filmmakers, featuring student-created films and masterworks by esteemed local talents. Cinematahum also includes film talks, workshops, and a regional tour to foster appreciation for local stories and decentralize filmmaking.
