Cinemagic Young Filmmaker is a competition for filmmakers aged 25 and under from or living in the UK and Ireland, organized by the Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People. The competition, which has run for 37 years, invites submissions of imaginative and original short films no longer than 10 minutes, completed after July 2025. Selected films are screened during the Cinemagic Belfast Festival in October, with winners awarded prizes and certificates. Notable alumni include Michael Lennox and Lee Cronin.
