Cinema Planeta is the International Environmental Film Festival of Mexico, established in 2009 to promote the protection of the natural environment through cinema. Based primarily in Cuernavaca, Mexico, the festival showcases hundreds of films addressing environmental, social, scientific, economic, and cultural themes. Beyond film screenings, it offers a variety of public engagement activities, including discussions, conferences, workshops, art exhibits, and concerts, and has received the 2010 National Award for Environmental Conservation.
