Cine Caatinga is a Brazilian film festival and audiovisual hub dedicated to promoting and disseminating cinematic works from the country's Semi-arid region, specifically within the unique Caatinga biome. It serves as a free exhibition window and a competitive showcase, featuring a diverse range of films including fiction, documentaries, animations, experimental works, and music videos. The festival awards the "Cabrito Dourado" (Golden Goat) trophy to winners in various categories, with official selections receiving the "Cabrito Prateado" (Silver Goat). Beyond screenings, Cine Caatinga also encompasses educational initiatives like workshops and maintains a free streaming platform that functions as an extensive archive of audiovisual productions from the region. The event also engages in social actions, such as donating computer equipment to young people in vulnerable situations. Coordinated by producers Thiago Rocha and Wllyssys Wolfgang through WW Filmes, the festival receives financial support from the State of Bahia.
