The ChopShots Documentary Film Festival Southeast Asia was an event dedicated to celebrating the art of documentary filmmaking, primarily held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Organized by DocNet Southeast Asia, a project initiated by the Goethe-Institut and funded by the European Union, the festival aimed to bring together Southeast Asian and international documentary communities. For instance, the second edition in April 2014 featured film screenings, competitions, public lectures, and a DocNet Campus for filmmakers, showcasing 58 selected films from 247 submissions across 49 countries. It awarded prizes for categories such as Best International Documentary and Best Southeast Asian Shorts.
