The Carmarthen Bay Film Festival (CBFF) is an annual event held in Llanelli, West Wales, typically over four days in May. Established in 2011, it has grown to become a BAFTA British Short Film Competition Qualifying Festival, and is recognised by BAFTA Cymru/Wales and BAFTA Scotland. The festival screens approximately 170 independent films from Wales and around the world, and also hosts special events, industry talks, panels, and a red-carpet gala awards night. Many of its screenings and events are offered free of charge, and it is frequently listed among FilmFreeway's Top 100 Reviewed Festivals.
