The Budapest International Documentary Festival (BIDF) is an annual competition festival based in Budapest, Hungary. It is the only international documentary festival in the capital and accepts documentary films of any length from around the world without subject restrictions. The festival features an international jury of five professionals in each section, awarding 5-6 prizes with cash awards and special mentions. BIDF also hosts monthly screenings throughout the year and covers all costs for attending filmmakers, including Q&A sessions after each screening.
