The Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) is recognized as New England's largest Asian American film festival, dedicated to empowering Asian Americans by showcasing their experiences through cinema. The festival also serves as a valuable resource for filmmakers and the broader Greater Boston community. Co-produced by the Asian American Resource Workshop and ArtsEmerson, BAAFF officially established its current name in 2008, evolving from the Asian American Resource Workshop. It typically takes place in October, featuring independent films by and/or about Asian Americans and the Asian diaspora, alongside special premieres, filmmaker Q&As, and various co-sponsored events.
