The Blackburn Festival of Film (BFoF) is an event dedicated to celebrating creativity, community, and cinematic storytelling, with a mission to champion local talent and inspire emerging filmmakers. The inaugural festival took place on July 5 and 6, 2025, at the Reel Cinema in Blackburn, in partnership with the National Festival of Making. It features Q&A sessions with industry professionals, hands-on workshops, and a short film competition with both professional and student categories. The festival also supports local talent through the Blackburn Film Fund, which provides grants to emerging filmmakers in Lancashire.
