Among the notable awards that recognize excellence in film by Black performers and creators are the Black Reel Awards, an annual American ceremony hosted by the Foundation for the Augmentation of African Americans in Film (FAAAF) to acknowledge cinematic achievements of African Americans and the African diaspora. Additionally, the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) hosts the ABFF Honors, an annual awards ceremony dedicated to recognizing excellence in the motion picture and television industry for Black artists.
