The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is an annual non-fiction film festival held in Missoula, Montana, each February. Established in 2003, it has grown to become the largest cinema event in Montana, showcasing an average of 150 documentary films from around the world over ten days. The festival also includes DocShop, an industry-focused program offering networking, professional development, and pitch sessions for documentary filmmakers. It is an Academy Award-qualifying event for documentary short categories.
