The Berlin International Film Festival, commonly known as Berlinale, is an annual film festival held in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951, it is considered one of the world's major film festivals and is held every February. The festival showcases approximately 400 films across various genres in multiple sections, with around twenty films competing for its top awards, the Golden Bear and Silver Bears. Beyond its prestigious competition, Berlinale also includes a significant industry market known as the European Film Market, facilitating international distribution and industry business.
