The Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival, also known as FestCurtasBH, is an international short film festival founded in 1994, celebrating nearly 30 years of existence. It is recognized as a prominent Brazilian short film festival, offering competitive exhibitions for national and international productions across various categories, including animation and children's audiences, with awards such as the Capivara Trophy and cash prizes. The festival focuses on experimental, inventive, and socially engaged cinematic expressions, showcasing contemporary and historical films, alongside seminars, debates, and courses. Additionally, it includes a traveling film exhibition that extends to over 30 cities in the interior of Minas Gerais state. The 27th edition is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 9, 2025.
