The B3 Festival of the Moving Image, also known as the B3 Biennial of the Moving Image, is a cross-media festival held in Frankfurt, Germany. It showcases films, media art, games, and artistic explorations of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality by international artists and creative professionals. The festival's primary focus is on the international discourse surrounding the moving image and the evolution of storytelling in the digital age. Established in 2013 as the successor to the eDIT Filmmaker's Festival, B3 initially occurred biennially, becoming an annual event since 2019. It features film screenings, a conference program, art exhibitions, and a competition culminating in an awards ceremony.
