The Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF) is an eight-day Canadian international film festival held annually in Halifax, Nova Scotia, since 1980. It is recognized as the largest Canadian film festival east of Montreal, showcasing films from around the world, and particularly celebrating new and established filmmaking voices from Atlantic Canada and beyond. The festival features screenings of over 100 films, alongside Q&As, receptions, panels, and industry events. In addition to the main festival, AIFF also operates programs such as AIFF Partners, an international co-production and co-financing market, AIFF Kids for youth, and AIFF Outdoor, a summer film series. While screening a diverse range of national and international films, its principal awards program is specifically for films from the Atlantic Canada region.
