The Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF) is an international film festival held annually in Atlanta, Georgia, and is operated by the Atlanta Film Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Established in 1976, it showcases a diverse array of independent films, with a particular focus on works by women, LGBTQ+ filmmakers, Latin American artists, Black filmmakers, and those from the American Southeast. The festival is one of a select group that are Academy Award-qualifying in all three short film categories. Recognized by MovieMaker magazine as a "Top 50 Festival Worth the Entry Fee" and one of the "25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World," ATLFF typically presents between 150 and 250 films from approximately 50 countries each year.
