Create Annecy Festival Laurels

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, officially abbreviated as the Annecy Festival, is an annual event held in June in the city of Annecy, France. Founded in 1960, the festival showcases animated films of various techniques, including traditional, cut-outs, claymation, and CGI, across categories such as feature films, short films, television and advertising productions, student films, and internet films. In addition to screenings, the festival features an open-air night projection, a market for animation professionals, and initiatives like the Annecy Festival Residency to support new animation projects. Widely regarded as the world's leading animation festival, it is organized by CITIA and includes the International Animation Film Market (MIFA).
