The World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb is an international film festival held annually in Zagreb, Croatia, dedicated entirely to animated film. Established in 1972, it is recognized as the second oldest animation film festival in the world, following the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. The festival showcases a wide array of animated productions, including short and feature films, student films, and provides a comprehensive insight into contemporary animation through various programs, presentations, exhibitions, lectures, and workshops. Animafest Zagreb's Grand Prix winners directly qualify for the Academy Awards and the European Animation Award.
