The Imagine Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, primarily focusing on fantasy, horror, science fiction, martial arts, and anime films. Established in 1991 as the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival (AFFF), it was rebranded as the Imagine Film Festival in 2009 to reflect a broader scope beyond strictly defined genre films. The festival presents a program of new and classic films, alongside a supplementary program that includes Q&As, symposiums, and masterclasses, and is organized by the non-profit Foundation AFFF. It takes place at venues such as LAB111 and De FilmHallen, and has previously been held at EYE Film Institute. The festival also includes competitive awards such as the Black Tulip for best fantastic feature film and the Silver Méliès for best European fantastic film.
