The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) is an annual event held in Palm Springs, California, founded in 2011 by Teddy Grouya to celebrate and promote documentary and animated films. Recognized as one of the largest documentary and animation festivals in the United States, AmDocs is an Oscar®-qualifying festival for the Documentary Short Film and Animated Short Film categories. The festival also includes the American Documentary Film Fund Pitch Competition, which provides financing for new projects and works in progress by American filmmakers. AmDocs has received international recognition, being named one of the "Top 5 Coolest Documentary Film Festivals in the World" by MovieMaker Magazine.
