aluCine Latin Film + Media Arts Festival is Canada's longest-running Latin American film and media arts festival, annually held in Toronto since 1995. It focuses on showcasing works by Latino-Canadian artists and those from the Latin diaspora, providing a platform for independent Latin American cinema and media art, including fiction, documentary, animation, video art, experimental, and web-based art. The festival also hosts performances, new media installations, symposia, panel discussions, and talks from visiting artists. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025, aluCine aims to promote and celebrate Latin American culture, broaden understandings of what it means to be Latino, and champion underrepresented voices.
